grocery list letter
Forgot to mention I got a very long letter from Warchild today (my last), and was very excited to feel how thick it was. 6 pages.... except, 3 pages were all about food.
Here is an excerpt:
Here is an excerpt:

Then the page on places he wants to eat:
"...Columbus: Ruby Tuesday, Cheddars, Picasso Pizza, Pizza Hut, steak n shake, panera, The Cannon, Texas Roadhouse, Outback, La Cantina, Mellow Mushroom, Olive Garden, Fife & Drum, Dunkin Donuts, krispy kreme, fuddruckers, moe's, firehouse subs, ruth ann's, Gus' Chick n shrimp, fuji, quiznos... hahaha my poor husband. All he does is think about food! That grocery list was hilarious to me-- he wants every kind of cake and every kind of sweet there is.
... I'm pretty sure he listed every thing he LIKES on that.
Umm... Kyle-- I am not buying all that crap. (Just most of it... :) )

cutting my losses
Taking a short break from the havoc of cleaning my crib... just long enough to put my feet up and check in on the blog world. I think I have to finally let go and realize no matter how much I clean my bathroom, it will not look like this :

the best news ever

WOOHOO!!!
K PASSED THE LAST PHASE OF RANGER SCHOOL AND GRADUATES FRIDAY!!!
I am soo relieved. I will get a few hours with him Wednesday and Thursday, and he is finally home to stay after graduation Friday. I am sooo proud of him and feel incredibly blessed that he was able to coast through without recycling. Rambo and I were starting to go a little nuts. I can't even express how relieved I am to be on the other end of this hellish experience, and we finally have something concrete to look forward to.
So if you don't see many blogs from me this week it's because
a) I'm frantically cleaning to get my house ready for K & family to stay here
b) I'm gonna be with my sweetheart. :)

FINALLY!!!!!!!

out of practice
After 2 months of being alone, I relate to this:

I really think I've forgotten how to cook. I keep things pretty tidy with just me and Rambo, but I might have forgotten how to wash stinky PT uniforms and to clean up after a clutter monster husband. (Our nightstand looks pretty nice without 5 books toppled on top of it... I can actually SEE the pretty things I put there!)
Pretty soon here (hopefully) it'll back to normal, and I won't be able to pass off lucky charms as dinner, and BOTH sides of the bed will be messed up instead of just one. (man, it has been so easy to make a cal king bed while sleeping alone!) So if any of you have some good, EASY EASY EASY, (cheap doesn't hurt either) recipes, PLEASE EMAIL THEM TO ME! I am Cheftarded. Seriously though, can't cook. I have too much other stuff to worry about without the grocery list for my starved hub. (LITERALLY STARVED)
sweep, mop, bathrooms, fix lawn mower, clean up yard, mow lawn, jump start k's truck, wash & vacuum k's truck for him, get k's winter clothes out and in his drawers, donate clothes to goodwill, hang up flag pic in k's office, new printer cartridge, take rambo to the vet, put away all scrapbooking/cardmaking items, get guest room ready, launder bedding, towels, rugs, ironing, call pest control, dusting, pack up boxes down stairs, break down moving boxes & take to bulk trash spot, buy plyers so I can fix the light fixtures on the front porch, find something to wear to k's graduation, color/cut my hair, color/cut 2 other ranger wives' hair before graduation, take history exam, study for biology, write paper on a midsummer nights dream, scour for a place to live in NC, possibly hit the gym a few times, buy K graduation gift, take tax records to school for grant, clean fridge & microwave, bathe rambo.... bathe myself, and for cryin' out loud-- shave those legs.
I need a clone.
